(RotoWire) McCoy (lower leg) is expected to participate to some extent for the team's mandatory minicamp in June, and be fully ready when training camp begins, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Analysis: McCoy will be able to make an appearance with the team for OTA's next week, and seems to be recovering well from his fractured right fibula per Schefter. The Texas product was originally supposed to miss all of the team's offseason work until training camp, but it appears the timetable was moved up. Once fully healthy, McCoy is expected to compete for snaps with Case Keenum, and his accelerated recovery time should help his cause. The Redskins also selected Ohio State product Dwayne Haskins in the first round of the draft, setting up a competitive offseason as head coach Jay Gruden tries to settle on a man to lead the offense in 2019.
