Use this setup screen to define parameters for your trades. Note that these items will only appear if they have been enabled on the Abilites Setup screen.
When an owner accepts a trade: - Select one of the following options to occur once an owner accepts a trade:
- The trade is immediately processed. - A trade between 2 teams would immediately process upon being accepted.
- The trade is sent to the commissioner for approval - A trade, when accepted, will go to the commissioner for review. He will process the trade on the For Commissioner > Review Trades.
- The trade is subject to a league-wide poll vote - A trade when accepted will go to vote in the League Polls before being approved.
NOTE: If this option is chosen, the poll (vote) must be defined. Specify the number of days in which owners may vote.
Trade Polls are open for - set the number of days the owners have to vote on a trade.
Trade Poll Options - When a trade poll is created, the commissioner can indicate the attributes of the poll:
- Poll results are completely hidden until poll expires.
- Poll is public, revealing who voted what way.
- Poll is required - owners must vote before submitting lineups.
Automatically reject trade after this many "Reject" votes are cast - If the trades is chosen to go through a league poll for approval it will be required to define the processing criteria. Set the number of reject votes to automatically end the poll prior to closing.
If "Don't Automaticall Reject" is selected, the commissioner will manually process the trade via the For Commissioner > Review Trades option.
NOTE: A trade will be accepted when enough "Accept" votes are cast to make a trade rejection not possible. Silence means consent. Missing votes when the poll closes are considered to be "Accept" votes.
If the trade-poll deadline occurs and there are not enough approve or reject votes to process the trade, all non-votes are considered approve votes at the time the trade ends. At this point, the trade will occur (or be rejected, depending on the outcome of the vote) as soon as any owner or the commissioner accesses the league home page as this will trigger the trade to be processed.
Allow trading draft picks for up to this many years in the future- Specify the number of future years (ie, 1, 2, 3, ...) that you allow trading of picks
NOTE: Changing this setting to "Not Allowed" will automatically delete all records of future draft pick trades that have previously been made. Be sure that is what you want to do before proceeding.
May trade future draft picks up to round - Set the number of rounds of future draft picks allowed to be traded.
Example: If you select 2 future years with 16 rounds per draft, each franchise will be able to trade 16 draft picks for each of the next two seasons. If your league is missing future draft picks for future years and/or newly created franchises, go to this page, verify the future pick settings, and click on the submit button to automatically generate all missing future picks.
Allow owners to trade blind bidding dollars? - Enable this option to allow owners to trade their Blind Bidding Dollars. This option only appears if your league is set up to run Blind Bidding on the General Add/Drops.
NOTE: This feature will not track these traded dollars if on the Setup > Blind Bidding Dollars Setup you have enabled the option "Do Winning Blind Bid Waiver Amounts Get Charged To An Owner's Accounting Report As "Real" Dollars?". It will only appear on the Accounting Report.
Display Trade offer/responses to All Owners - Enable to allow all owners in the league to see comments associated with trades. These comments are both emailed to every franchise upon trade approval and displayed on the Transactions report.
Allow Trades that would create invalid Rosters to go through? - Change this option from it's default of "No" to "Yes", and trades that would cause invalid rosters will be allowed to go through by the system. For example, with this option set to "No", and if both franchises involved in a trade have full rosters, an owner will not be able to accept an uneven (i.e., 1 player for 2 players) trade. However, changing this option to "Yes" allows this trade to go through.
When a Trade causes an invalid Roster, allow Owner to Submit Lineups? - Hand-in-hand with the option above, if an owner does have an invalid roster, how does your league want to handle this situation? Changing this option from it's default of "Yes" to "No" will prevent the owner in question from submitting a lineup whenever he has an invalid roster.
NOTE: This does not prevent the system from copying a previous weeks lineup. It only will prevent the owner from submitting a new lineup.
Prevent Owners from accepting Trades between Kickoff of that player's game and the end of the last game of the week? - This feature will prevent an owner from accepting a trade of a player once that players game has kicked off for the week. It does not prevent the processing of a trade due to a League Poll or Commissioner approval, simply the ability to accept the player once their games have kicked off for the week.
Default number of days Bbefore a Trade proposal Expires - Enter the number of days by default that a trade offer will be valid between owners.
