1. | New teams are joining our keeper/dynasty league and we need to have an expansion draft prior to our regular draft for these teams. How can we set this up? Answer: While you are able to archive a draft for your league, if you choose to have both a rookie/vet draft you will not be able to conduct a draft for expansion teams as well.
The easiest solution is to use the Load/Unload Rosters to adjust the rosters for your expansion draft (you can either hold this expansion draft offline or use the message board to record picks). Then proceed with your regular draft as usual.
If you do wish to conduct an online draft for only these few teams and archive it (remember you can only archive 1 draft) you will set up your draft as a normal draft. Since the draft room is designed for all teams to participate, you would need to manually remove all other teams from the draft order round by round. That can be done on the Draft Order Setup - One Round.

2. | I selected the keepers for my league, but did not have the draft order properly defined. How do I fix this? Answer: To reset your keepers so that they are properly displayed in the draft you will need to do the following:
- Go to the Setup > Players And Rosters > Load Keepers to restore these players to their active roster).
NOTE: If your League has traded future draft picks you will have to go to the Setup > Draft Setup > Import Future Draft Pick Trades and un-import these traded picks.
- Go to the Setup > Draft Setup > Draft Order Setup - All Rounds and re-save your proper draft order for the league. Again, if you allow trading of future draft picks, you can now re-import these traded future draft picks for your league with the proper draft order now defined.
- Finally, go back to the Setup > Players And Rosters > Load Keepers and re-select the keepers and assign them to the new "in lieu of" draft pick.
NOTE: This operation will undo the previous Load Keepers operation and will restore every team roster to how it was prior to it. Any transactions, including add/drops and player trades will be lost. If your draft is already in progress, you will need to reset it and start it again from the beginning. Once you do it, there will be no way to restore things to how they were before.

3. | How do I set up a keeper league if I upgraded after having a prior season on MFL? Answer: If you have a keeper or dynasty league where some or all players on rosters are carried over from year to year, there is a certain sequence of events that you will need to go through to prepare for your on-line draft on MyFantasyLeague.com. This brief How to Setup a Keeper League guide will walk you through those steps.
- From last year's league home page, log in as the league commissioner, and click on the commissioner home page message link to upgrade your league to a 2019 league. Log into this new 2019 league as Commissioner.
- Go to the For Commissioners > Setup > Transfer Rosters screen and check the checkbox next to each player that should be transferred from last year's end-of-seasons rosters. This will move those players onto each owner's active roster for this year's league, and make those players un-draftable for your 2019 league.
NOTE: If you are a full Dynasty League you are all Set!
If you are a Keeper League, follow these steps:
- Go to the Setup > Keeper Setup to define the min/max number of players to be Kept each season.
- Set up the "Select Keeper" event on the Setup> League Calendar Setup. This will be time in which owners can declare their players to be kept.
- Owners will then go to the For Owners > Select Keepers to select their keepers. The commissioner can use this screen as well to select keepers for owners as needed.
- Once the deadline for selecting keepers has passed, the commissioner will need to go to the Setup > Load Keepers. He can then check/un-check players to be kept and assign them in lieu of draft picks.
NOTE: The draft order MUST be defined prior to placing keepers in lieu of draft picks.

4. | How do I set up a keeper league in my first year with MFL? Answer: Go to the For Commissioners > Setup > Load/Unload Rosters page, and indicate what players initially should be put on what rosters for each franchise. This will make those players un-draftable for your 2019 league.
If you are a Dynasty League then you are all set once you have loaded the rosters for each team.
If you are a Keeper League and wish to select specific keepers each season you will want to view the detailed information in the Help > Help Center - Commissioner Tutorials: Commissioner Tutorials - How do I set up a keeper/dynasty league draft on MyFantasyLeague.com?
NOTE: One common question we get about keeper league drafts on the site is "What happens to the players currently on rosters when a draft starts?" The short answer to that question is "nothing" since the system will see that those players are currently on rosters (and simply leave them on the rosters), and thus make them un-draftable to other owners in your league.

5. | I upgraded my league, but none of my rosters transferred over. How can I transfer over these players? Answer: Since most leagues are not keeper/dynasty in nature (also known as redraft leagues), you need to use the Transfer 2018 Rosters to 2019 screen to copy over last season's final rosters.
For keeper leagues, at some point prior to this year's draft or auction, set up the parameters for owners to select keepers and define your keeper deadline. Once owners have used the For Owners > Select Keepers screen to actually specify which players should be kept and the deadline has ended you can process these keepers.

6. | The keeper deadline ended, but the remaining rosters are still there. How do we process these? Answer: Once the keeper deadline has ended the owners can no longer submit keepers for the league. The commissioner must now go to the For Commissioner > Setup >
NOTE: Your draft order MUST be defined prior to selecting these keepers and any alteration to the draft order will change the round/pick for the intended keeper.

7. | How do I Assign Keepers to Draft Picks? Answer: In order to place keepers in lieu of draft picks the following must be complete:
- First your league must be set up to have an online draft with the draft order defined.
- Owners will need to have selected keepers.
- Finally, the keeper deadline (end date of the Select Keepers event) must have passed to load these players.
Once these conditions are met, the commissioner may then go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Load Keepers and set the draft pick for each keeper.
Check the box next to the corresponding players name and from the pull down you will change the Draft Pick from "In Lieu Of" to a specific Round/Pick.
NOTE: Your draft order MUST be defined prior to selecting these keepers and any alteration to the draft order will change the round/pick for the intended keeper.

8. | My Keepers are all in place of draft picks, how do I remove this? Answer: If you have incorrectly loaded your keepers and place them into draft picks you will need to return these players to their active roster to be reselected.
- Go to your For Commissioner > Setup > Load Keepers and restore the keepers to the active roster.
- You can then re-access the For Commissioner > Setup > Load Keepers and check the box "Clear all draft pick selections below." That will unselect the "in lieu of" picks from each drop down box with the corresponding player.
- Make sure all corresponding "Keep" checkboxes are selected and then Save the page to process these keepers

9. | How do I Add the "K" to rosters to designate a Keeper? Answer: Go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Edit Player Acquired Info. Here you can enter a "K" in the "Override" to replace the acquired data for the corresponding player for each franchise.
Note that this "K" value will override any other player information on that page. You would need to remove it when it no longer applies.

10. | How do I allow owners to Select their own Keepers? Answer: To allow owners to select their keepers for your league you will need to do the following.
- Transfer Rosters from last seasons league to your new 2019 league.
- Go to the Setup > Keepers Setup screen and define your minimum and maximum values for your keepers.
- Once you've set up keeper requirements, you will need to go to the Setup > League Calendar Setup page to set up a “Select Keepers” system event in which owners can select their keepers. You will need both a start and end date for this event.
- During this time, owners may go to the For Owners > Select Keepers page to declare their keepers. At the end of the Keeper event, owners will be able to see all selected keepers by all owners on this page.
- Then, as commissioner, you will need to process these keepers once the event is complete by going to the Setup > Load Keepers screen and process these keepers for your owners. You will have the option to place these players “in lieu of” a draft pick if you choose to run an online draft and have your Draft Order defined.

12. | How do I Make Players Available in a Keeper/Dynasty League when an owner leaves? Answer: When an owner in a keeper league does not return and you want to make his players available to the league pool you will not transfer the rosters for this owner upon upgrade. By not defining these players as the owners players they will become available to the league.
If they have already been transferred or assigned as keepers to the franchise then as commissioner go to the For Owners > Add/Drop and drop these players from that roster or the Setup > Load/Unload Rosters
Note If your league chooses to "Lock Dropped Players" you will need to go to the Report > Players > Locked Players to unlock these players and make then available in your league.

13. | How do I use the Transfer Rosters page? Answer: This option only appears for leagues that have upgraded from a 2018 MyFantasyLeague.com league. It allows keeper and dynasty leagues to copy over some/all of the 2018 rosters to the 2019 league.
NOTE: Since many leagues are upgraded prior to the league's keeper deadline (commonly late August), this screen does not mark copied players as keepers. You must also use the Load Keepers screen to mark player as keepers for your league.
Load all Players - Check this box if you simply want to copy the entire list of 2018 rosters to the 2019 league.
Select Individual Players - Click any box corresponding a player you wish to transfer from the 2018 final roster to a 2019 initial roster.

14. | How do I use the Select Keepers page? Answer: This option only appears for leagues that have upgraded from a 2018 MyFantasyLeague.com league. It allows keeper and dynasty leagues to copy over some/all of the 2018 rosters to the 2019 league.
NOTE: Kept players can appear on the Rosters reports with a "K" designation if enabled on the Setup > Edit Draft Column on Rosters Report.
Load all Players - Check this box if you simply want to mark all the current rosters as keeper players.
Select Individual Players - Click any box corresponding a player you wish to mark as a keeper for the 2019 season.
In Lieu Of - This column only appears if a 2019 online draft has been defined. This setting is designed for keeper leagues that replace kept players with current-year draft picks. For example, if your league rules dictate that an owner can keep up to three players, in lieu of their first 3 rounds of draft picks, when the commissioner loads the keepers onto the rosters at the beginning of the season, he/she may indicate what draft pick the owner has given up for that keeper player. Once the commissioner has completed the "load keepers" step, the system will automatically update the draft report to indicate the keeper players in their appropriate slot, and also automatically skip over that pick when it comes up in your draft.

When finished, you MUST click on the Select Keepers button in order to add the player(s) to the franchises.
